FAQs

Have Questions About Neighborhood Glass Pickup? We've Got Answers...
1) How Does Neighborhood Glass Pickup Work?
You sign up for the flexible subscription plan you want (no contract required) and we'll get you on the schedule for pickup from your curb. Your subscription automatically renews until you cancel. Just send us an email that you want to stop service at NeighborhoodGlassPickup@gmail.com.
We'll drop off a 7-gallon bin (fits roughly 30+ wine bottles) before your first service and let you know the next available slot, which is usually the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, but that can occasionally change. We'll send a text reminder within 24 hours before we come. Our routes start at around 8:30 a.m. We may occasionally need to adjust for weather or other issues but will send you an update!
2) Will you remind me before you come?
Absolutely. We'll send a text within 24-hours that we're coming. You'll have time to collect your glass, put it in the provided bin, and put it outside at your curb. If we experience any schedule changes, we'll also let you know as soon as we can.
3) What kind of glass do you take?
We take (unbroken) bottles, jars, containers and pretty much any type of glass that might come from the grocery store. Please don't put broken glass, ceramics, or other items in your 7-gallon bin.
4) Where do you take my glass?
After our route, we take it directly to an authorized glass recycling center so it stays out of landfills.
5) Can't I just take glass recycling to authorized centers myself?
Of course. Neighborhood Glass Pickup is for homeowners and businesses who want to save time at a nominal price.
6) What if I want to cancel my subscription?
Although we're sad to see you go, you can cancel anytime, and we'll finish fulfilling the month of service you're signed up for. For example, if you sign up for every-other-week service and cancel in the middle of it, we'll finish up your month. Just email us at NeighborhoodGlassPickup@gmail.com.
7) I'm going out of town. Will you put my bin back by my door or garage?
Sure. If you're out of town, just put out your bin at the curb for us before you go. Text us and let us know where you would like it returned.
